I started my football career at an early age, first moving to Greece where I played professionally and then relocating to the UK which I played football leagues clubs. This experience has given me the key tools with which to develop my coaching and fitness training, both on and beyond the football field. since retiring from playing field, I have wanted to share my passion of playing football with others and to achieve that end, i’ve gained a number of professional qualifications, both in football coaching and fitness training. I am a UEFA B Licensed coach with a background in sports science.
In addition, and in order to build up my experience of coaching, I worked as a coach for a premier league club for seven years where I was voted the coach of the year in 2008. In November 2013, my work came out in ‘Fultime’ magazine. About inspiring the generation through the power of football. This has given me valuable experience in developing athletes physically, technically, psychologically and socially. During this time, I combined my football coaching with management. I became Player/manager in 2009 making me if not the youngest manager in the whole of UK at 27 years old. Under my guidance, Waltham Forest Fc ensured their safety in the football league with five games left. The success continued at the club in the borough. The team enjoyed FA Cup runs for two consecutive seasons(2011-2012 and 2012-2013) and reached 2nd qualifying rounds made some giant killings along the way. Such success enabled some young talented players moved to bigger and better clubs in the football league.
Furthermore, I have extensive experience with children’s football having taught PE in Primary, Secondary Schools and Colleges across West London, South London, Surrey, Guildford, Hemel Hempstead and Hackney. All of our sessions are designed to be age appropriate and to motivate every participant. One of our primary objectives is to ensure that children have fun in sport and are able to achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment. All our coaches are DBS checked and appropriate courses in safeguarding and child protection have been undertaken by all coaches working at WO Sports(see – our safequarding pages).
